Kick Off/Session One: Thursday, October 7, 2010, 8:00 am to 12:30 pm
The Art of Honoring, "Getting to Know You"
Creating Connections and Partnerships, "Know Your Audience"
  • Discovering how the Art of Honoring will impact your life and how you lead
  • Learning about your mentoring partner and how she honors herself
  • Meeting your peers and facilitators
  • Honoring your leadership style and how you communicate
  • Agreeing on your goals and objectives to honor yourself
  • Discussing how to design your roadmap to success
Session Two: Thursday, November 11, 2010, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Honoring Multiculturalism, Diversity, and Inclusion,
"The Role of Race and Ethnicity in Mentoring Relationships"
  • Learning how race and ethnicity impact your leadership capabilities
  • Discovering cultures, levels and generational impact within organizations
  • Discovering how perceptions and judgment honors or dishonors you and others
  • Dealing with the fears, energy and stresses that affect you and others
  • Getting feedback on your goals and action plan on your roadmap to success
Session Three: Thursday, December 9, 2010, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Educating Myself and Learning from Others, "How to Resolve Your Differences"
Learning the importance of resolving differences and conflict as a leader.
  • Challenging your assumptions and thinking; ways to honor yourself and others
  • Discovering how others think and feel when resolving differences and conflict
  • Including a resolution strategy on your roadmap to success
Session Four: Thursday, February 10, 2011, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Celebrating Myself and Others, "Give Them Something to Talk About"
  • Talking about, honoring, and sharing your gifts, talents and contributions
  • Discovering others’ gifts, talents and contributions
  • Wearing what helps in your image of success
  • Writing a resume that showcases your gifts, talents, and contributions
  • Integrating celebrations of self and others in your roadmap to success
Session Five: Thursday, March 10, 2011, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Inspiring a Spirit of Service and Giving Among Women, "Getting Beyond the Politics "
  • Understanding how politics affect your ability to serve, give, and honor
  • Establishing boundaries; how to negotiate to maintain boundaries and give support
  • Learning ways to prevent gossip and/or triangulation in relationships
  • Discovering ways to ask for and give support and help in your roadmap to success
Session Six: Thursday, April 14, 2010, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Embracing My Power by Taking Action to Lead,
"How Your Finances Impact Your Leadership Power "
  • Going from surviving to thriving, women plan for and claim your financial power
  • Acknowledging your power and honoring your strengths
  • Powerfully presenting and sharing your successes and accomplishments in your roadmap to success
  • Leverage your power; commit to and share your roadmap for success with others you want to mentor and champion

Celebration Ceremony, May 12, 2011, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

  • Students and mentors plan the celebration
  • Students and leaders present their successes
  • Representatives and sponsors from organizations and colleges provide feedback
  • Refreshments, entertainment and celebration
