Honoring Women Worldwide is working in partnership with 3M Company to enable Battle Creek Middle School (BCMS) students to work with successful leaders to help them develop positive leadership and life skills to create a positive and life-giving future

Honoring Leaders of Tomorrow 2010-2011 concluded in May with celebrations for all the students.  Click here to read about the celebrations, student comments about the program, and pictures from this year's mentoring program.

Program Objective:

To help young men and women value, appreciate and understand their leadership capabilities by providing life skills through mentoring partnerships with successful leaders.

Honoring Women Worldwide definition of honoring: exudes actions showing profound respect, deep care and high regard.  We believe by working with experienced leaders as their mentor/facilitators, students will learn how to adopt the philosophy of honoring themselves and each other.  By valuing their strengths, recognizing their talents and capabilities at this early age, these middle school students will build their self-esteem and confidence to believe they can become leaders in their own right, and create individual roadmaps for their future.

Once a month, successful leaders from a multitude of organizations mentor middle school girls and boys at BCMS.  BCMS is a highly effective and successful Title 1 school, separated into a Girls Academy and a Boys Academy located in East St Paul, MN.  The 860 students are 85% students of color; many are living at or below poverty level.  Mentors provide hope and encouragement to enable students to believe in a life-giving future.
